ABOUT FOLLÉ BEAUTY
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING FOLLÉ BEAUTY NAIL PRODUCTS?
Vegan, plant based, cruelty free, non toxic, 21-28 days full wear, zero dry time, strong, flexible, high shine, comes off in 5-10 mins, no damage.
HOW CAN I BE ASSURED THAT FOLLÉ BEAUTY NAIL PRODUCTS ARE VEGAN AND CRUELTY FREE?
All our products are made from natural ingredients with the main component being resin within trees. Follé Beauty does not test on animals at any point, nor do any companies that we work with. Most other gel nail products are made with the secretions of the lac beetle or fish scales, which means they are not vegan friendly as they use these animal bi-products in their manufacturing methods.
ARE FOLLÉ BEAUTY BRUSHES AND TOOLS VEGAN FRIENDLY?
Yes all products are vegan friendly
USING FOLLÉ BEAUTY NAIL PRODUCTS
DOES REMOVING MY GEL NAILS CAUSE DAMAGE TO WEAK NAILS?
No, as long as the proper removal procedure is carried out.
HOW LONG DOES IT NORMALLY TAKE TO CURE THE BASE COAT?
30 seconds in a LED lamp or 120 seconds in UV.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CURE FOLLÉ BEAUTY NAIL GEL COLOUR?
Colours should be cured for 30 seconds in an LED Lamp or 120 seconds in a UV Lamp.
HOW DO I AVOID “WRINKLING” DURING CURING?
Make sure the application is not too thick as this may cause wrinkling. Follé Beauty gel polish is highly pigmented so only a thin application is required to enable your lamp to fully cure the product. We suggest you always use the Pro Salon Follé Beauty lamp for a proper and full cure.
WHAT IS THE REMOVAL TIME FOR THE FOLLÉ BEAUTY GEL POLISH SYSTEM?
This is slightly dependent on what you have applied and how thin it is, but normally between 8-15 mins. See our guidance on how to remove your gel nails using the Follé Beauty Remover Gel
CAN ALL FOLLÉ BEAUTY GEL NAILS BE USED WITH PIGMENTS, NAIL ART AND EMBELLISHMENTS?
Yes, our gels are incredible when used as a nail art base. Due to being so pigmented this means you can create the thinest and most vibrant designs for your nails whilst still being ultra thin, strong and flexible.
HOW CAN GLITTER BE APPLIED TO FOLLÉ BEAUTY GEL NAILS?
After applying Follé Beauty gel colour apply another thin layer of rubber base and cure. Apply the chosen art medium(s) to the top and then finish off the design with one layer of No Wipe Top Coat and cure.
CAN FOLLÉ BEAUTY NAIL PRODUCTS BE USED WITH OTHER GEL NAIL PRODUCTS?
Yes our range has been developed to enable you to be able to use other gel brands or nail polishes in conjunction with our gel range. If you are unsure please do not hesitate to contact us.
HOW CAN I AVOID CLOUDINESS OR DULLNESS WITH FOLLÉ BEAUTY NO WIPE TOP COAT?
Our range is derived from natural, non toxic and plant based ingredients and after curing can be a little porous. It’s advised to let the nails cool before applying any oils or hand lotions. We suggest waiting five minutes after you have finished applying the nails before oiling.
HOW DO I REMOVE GEL NAILS OR ENHANCEMENTS?
Folle Beauty nail products are simple to remove with out damaging your nails. Step by step guidance can be found on this website in the guidance section (how to remove your gel nails), but don’t forget that the No Wipe Top Coat must be carefully filed off prior to a replication or enhancement rebalance.
WHY DO NAILS LIFT, BREAK OR PEEL?
There are a number of reasons and there is always a good reason.
The actual nail peeling due to poor prep.
Poor home care or none at all.
Picking off labels and the layers of the nail plate separates.
Nail separating due to water damage. Nails that come into contact with water on a regular basis will swell and dry out time and time again and this will lead to constant delimitation.
The shape of the nails. Some shapes are more prone to lifting. The circular nails, ski jump nails and fanned shapes are all genetically weaker.
Nails not cleaned effectively. Poor cleansing may mean that your nails will have particles of dust, oils or cuticle left on the surface. This will cause the small area to have a pocket that’s not perfectly sealed. Over time water, oils or newly formed cuticle cells will work their way underneath and lift the products off. This can also lead to bacteria growing under the enhancement or gel covering. Bacteria isn’t contagious or damaging but it will leave a stain on the nail until it grows out. If you find a green spot on your nail clean and cleanse it and remember that it’s nothing to worry about but remember if you see something again don’t ignore it.
Not paying attention. Touching of the nails will most definitely lead to lifting. Nails need to be temporarily dehydrated for any products to adhere 100%
Picking or using solvents
Over saturated with cleanser
Old products not removed properly leading to separation of adequate adhesion.
Products touching the skin, side walls or proximal nail fold. Once there has been contact with anything other than a totally cleansed nail plate natural oils will enter the uncured or even cured gel. This will lead to lifting over time. It’s essential to work neatly and in a controlled way. If this happens repeatedly this also can lead to overexposure and allergic reactions. Follé Nails products are all non toxic but exposure can occur with any products, food substances, liquid or external products at anytime if you come into contact with something on a regular basis.
Onycolsis prone nails need to be kept short (very short) or taken back and sculpted to the edge of the finger and treated like bitten nails
Bitten nails need weekly treatments due to the growth. Bitten nails grow faster as they are used to you nibbling.
Overgrown proximal nail folds will need weekly or bi weekly treatments as they will need regular manicure maintenance until they are under control or subside growth. Over grown proximal folds are either due to picking, cutting or substandard technicians or salons cutting them.
